Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) announced its plan to use blockchain technology to protect exit poll data during the upcoming presidential election. The official press release says, that specialists of 2Chain agency will be engaged in technical support of this project.
Up until now, the VTsIOM website had to been closed each election day, because that was the only way to protect survey data from hackers. Now, thanks to Blockchain which is expected to prevent both hacking attacks and data breaches, this problem can be solved.
“Surveys in blockchain has not yet been implemented in the world… We have a real possibility on March 18 to show the world exactly how this can be done.” Valery Fyodorov, General Director at VTSIOM, said.
